Hello Dear Readers, here is a home made face pack to get nourished skin considering that the winter is on in most parts of the globe. It’s the ideal time to indulge in some TLC. Here is a simple DIY simple homemade face pack for getting nourished and moisturized skin for the dry and cold winter months.
Milk Cream Pack
Take cream from milk. You can just spoon out some of the cream which forms after boiled milk cools down. ( this is what I prefer ). Alternatively you could use ready-made milk cream available in most departmental stores. Add about a quarter teaspoon of turmeric to the cream and whip it till the color changes to light yellow. Apply directly onto clean washed face . Leave the home made face pack on for about twenty minutes or so , upto the point where the mask is semi dry. Wash off with warm water and gently wipe face with a soft towel. Preferably you should not follow up this with any other cream moisturizer or makeup. Just let be so that these natural ingredients will do their job. Best done at night or evening if you have no other plans of going out etc. which may require makeup.
Variations in the home made face pack:
To the above pack you can replace turmeric with honey, else add honey as an add on. Honey is known to be a natural moisturizer and has many curative properties as well.
Add Chickpea flour or besan to the above mix so that it can stay on for longer. The besan will also give a tightening of skin effect.
To the above pack add multani mitti or fuller’s earth which will have a cleansing effect as well. Just add a quarter spoon as excess of this product can lead to dryness.
Add a touch of luxury:
Light a few scented candles and lie down with your mask on. Play some soothing music or enjoy nature’s own sounds if you live someplace away from the city din.
I’m sure you would be fresh and rejuvenated at the end of this simple and inexpensive ritual. Let me know what you think by writing in the comments section.
