MAC Pro Longwear SPF 20 Compact Foundation Review

Method of Using MAC Pro Longwear SPF 20 Compact Foundation:

It can be used after prepping skin with moisturizer,  a primer, sunscreen or on its own. I used it with all the above ways and found that for me it works best without anything beneath the foundation. You can apply it with a brush or fingers. In case of a brush  I found using a dense kabuki type (only with a smaller head) worked best for me. I had a brush which I had got when I bought a Bourjois compact foundation. With fingers the application was not so neat . I had to invariably go back over with a brush to remove any streaky lines. It comes with a sponge but somehow I couldn’t get the hang of using it so just stuck to my brush.

About my experience using MAC Prolongwear SPF20 Compact Foundation:

First of all let me start off by saying that I am writing my experience in using this foundation when I have almost finished it . I am down to a last few days of application. I have used this off and on fairly regularly which in would be something like three days in a week on an average. The compact comes in a sturdy black signature MAC case with tiny perforations at the bottom to keep the sponge fresh I guess. It is covered with a silver foil which I kept on to keep the product covered after every use. There is also a mirror and a sponge.

The mirror is a very useful feature. It is sturdily fitted and gives a clear image hence can be used on the go. Now while choosing the shade in this foundation you have to try and get it spot on else it could  lead to a chalky kind of finish. This could be due to the SPF factor. This foundation is of creamy consistency . I found that it takes a while to blend it in. Especially if  the skin is dry, moisturizer is a must. The coverage of the MAC Pro longwear SPF20 compact foundation is medium to full . In case skin is clear then by itself this would classify as full coverage. Otherwise you may need a concealer. It did last on me throughout the day with just a powder touch up needed to freshen up. The compact has lasted me for around four months.
